What is the real difference between art and fine art?

In my exploration of the art world, I've noticed some confusion around the terms "art" and "fine art." It's quite simple really; art is an umbrella term covering various forms of creative expression, from painting and sculpture to music and dance. On the other hand, fine art refers specifically to visual art considered to have been created primarily for aesthetic and intellectual purposes, and judged for its beauty and meaningfulness. So, fine art is basically a subcategory of the broader art world, distinguished by its commitment to beauty, and its intellectual and aesthetic value. It's like every square is a rectangle, but not every rectangle is a square!
